Qatar Chapter of the Association for Information Systems

QRAIS was approved by the Association for Information Systems (AIS) in July 2013 to serve Information Systems professionals in Qatar and other GCC countries. AIS serves society through the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of excellence in the practice and study of information systems. It is the premier professional association for individuals and organisations who lead the research, teaching, practice, and study of information systems worldwide.
The Qatar Chapter conducted its first annual general meeting in October 2013. Professor Selma Limam Mansar from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar is the first president of the chapter and Professor Khaled Al Share from Qatar University is the president-elect. This membership drive is presenting the Chapter to the general public for the first time.
